When my kids are in school, I love to sit in the silence of the house. It gives me that breathing room I need to think and work. BUT, music is such an incredibly powerful force. It changes a mood instantly and brings things to the service that might not have otherwise come up. I am working on an image right now, to this song, and it is really influencing the way I edit. For the better I think:)
